It’s been a long time since we’ve heard any news about the BioShock franchise. I was not expecting any new games after the news that series creator Ken Levine and 2K had parted ways. BioShock Infinite seemed like a great way to close a fantastic trilogy, especially after the DLC Burial at Sea officially connected Bioshock and BioShock Infinite.
But there are now reports that a new BioShock game is in development. 2K now controls the franchise and is pushing forth a new game. I, for one, have low expectations. It’s hard for me to imagine a Bioshock game without Ken Levine’s involvement, but fingers crossed.
